Life has been on a roller coaster. It’s been a hectic month, both at work and my private life. Many things happened in just a short period of time, it was too fast that I didn't have the time to actually think it through. Only to try to deal with it and got it over with. And I thought 2012 would be a great year for me according to the Chinese belief; a year of dragon (I was born in January, so my sign is dragon apparently, but what do I know?) Nevertheless Life needs to keep moving. I’m still on the road, going from one place to another. It never stops. But I’m hoping that this year I can slow myself down and start thinking of bigger pictures; finding a more secure ways to lead my life. Too many things I want this year; a new car, buying a house (or to build one), expanding my business. It amazes me that I do have these thoughts in my head about these things like somehow I’m getting too old and I need to make it happen before it’s too late (29 turning 30.) But when it’s too late? When is the right time to think about it then? If not now.

Yesterday I spent the evening with one of my best friends from Bangkok, who was in town for 2 days talking about our lives. It’s interesting to hear his point of view how he thinks that since he moved out of Chiang Mai to be in Bangkok, Chiang Mai now is an unfamiliar place to him. Yet he complained about issued he faced in Bangkok but he had no way out, like somehow he did not have a choice. Can people really change if they want to? Or are we afraid of changes? Afraid of a new beginning, without knowing which direction to take. Are we that spontaneous? I guess it’s an individual opinion. Personally, I believe he has a choice, a choice that he only can make and takes responsibilities with the decision. Disregard others opinions.

Often people tell me that I need to change; I need to follow my heart. But why change when my heart is already in place, here in Chiang Mai. I know that. I’m sick of people keep putting words in my mouth to make me say that I’m not happy, I have to change. I guess they don’t know me at all. Of course in every life, it is not paved with roses; there are obstacles along the way. But it’s how you look at things and get pass that in your own way. At the end of the day, nothing is more important than to trust your own instinct, to be with yourself and to own your life like no one can.

Not feeling too well today, in fact I haven't been feeling that well for the last 2-3 days. There seem to be something in the air in Chiang Mai that makes people feeling so sick. I hate this time of year, lots of rain yet very hot in the day time. Perhaps, it's time to hit to the beach again. My mojito is calling.

Last weekend was away to Bangkok (and literally.) New experiences occurred and it's still in my head til now. Not sure what to do about it. I guess I will have to find out next time I go to Bangkok. Sorry people, I'm ranting here, it's just my way of expressing my thoughts, to get it out of my system tonight before I go to sleep.

Sometimes life has a funny way to surprise you. Like they say, expect the unexpected in life. But humm, usually I would love that, this time around I pause to think.

It’s time to be with myself again, after many months of trying to stay active doing many things in order to heal the wound. The moment has come, when I finally am with myself. My roommate is away for a month and I’m settling down to be home again. Someone just asked me the other day if I’m scared to be alone at this point, my answer was no. I’m a lonesome in so many ways. I like to do things by myself, like to have my own control and like to spend on a silent night cooking dinner with a glass of red wine in my hand. It’s the serene moment.

I used to fear that I’m going to be alone for the rest of my life, that I’m longing for someone to come and rescue me for the most part. I guess that’s why I’m often hesitant to make a decision in life knowing that I’m going to have to take a risk and ending up being alone, doing things by myself; afraid of a failure.

People learn from their past, the mistake they have done or the decision they have made. I have learnt about myself. The fact that there is nothing to be afraid of being alone, the fact that now I can be greedy to do whatever I want, go to places I have never been, speak my mind like I have never said it before. It’s liberating. Being alone of course we all feel lost sometimes, not quite sure which direction to take and keep running away from the problems. But for how long you keep running before you get tired? I have come to that point, no more running, just embracing it. If it means to have to be with myself alone, I overcome fear.

It is already August 2011, i can't believe it. Time passes by so quickly and i just can't believe that there are so many thing i want to do before 2012 and there is such little time left before the new year begins. Work has been overloaded, so i don't have much time doing anything else i personally want to do. My new collection is going nowhere, my mind is not in it at the moment. it is so frustrated when trying to think or to concentrate on something and you spending so much time trying to come up with something but you just can't. I guess it is true when they say the best thing comes when you don't think about it too much. I need to free my mind and just let it flows. How though? When my mind is constantly thinking all the time. How to relax myself? So tired but just can't relax still.

I already see some around town, youngsters wear tank top and shorts (and i mean really really short shorts!) and espadrilles shoes with the Ray Ban Wayfarer glasses. (I'm so over it.) Currently on holidays right now, it is totally relaxing for myself. I mean the fact is i'm able to just forget about all the chaos at work ( and i mean from all works) and just be with myself (well, not quite alone but if you know what i mean.) I always like the feeling of holidays, it puts a big smile on my face; nice hotel, nice company and nice food (big part of my life haha.)

What makes me happy? A question i still need to answer for myself.

Cut to the chase, I broke up with my boyfriend. There, I said it. It’s going to be the last time I’m going to talk about him and this relationship. I don’t know why I do love to write whenever I have something on my mind, especially this particular case. I guess it’s the only space where I can fully express my feelings without having to think much about anyone else but myself. How did it all end? I couldn't’t ask for more, it was a perfect ending which made it even more difficult to deal with. When the two love each other so much but they can’t keep hurting each other more and more. Sometimes, people ignore whatever they don’t want to face, they keep it inside hoping it’s going to be OK in the future. It’s like a ticking bomb waiting to explore. In this case, the time has run out.

To be happy to myself is something I’m not quite familiar of. I like to share my happiness with other, even though sometimes I have to sacrifice apart of who I am, I don’t mind seriously. I love making people happy. As always, everything has its limit and I don’t realize that from the beginning. Partially it’s my own fault. I’m not here to ask you to take side which is right and wrong. Honestly, it’s not anyone’s fault. It takes two sides to create a story and it takes two to come up with the ending.

How to realize when a relationship reaches to an ending point? When two persons share no longer things in common? When a person wants to be more with himself/herself and thinks less about another? Or when two persons speak up their mind of what’s really happening in a relationship? How they both really feel. The answer is to look back at the beginning when you start a relationship, rechecking yourself if you are still doing, feeling the same things now as in day one.

There is no explanation of how much I love him, how I picture us together for the rest of our lives; growing old together, being side by side for each other and to complete each other. But what went wrong then? The fact that we are so different. We both have a different perspective in life; where we see the future, how we think of the future. No matter how hard we try to change ourselves to be with another, it does not last long before we get frustrated of the way things are. The more we both try to change, the more we have come to realize that it’s not good to ourselves in a long run. As they say, only love is not enough to maintain a relationship.

The sky is pouring in with rain in Chiang Mai at the moment. I find it so weird since May supposes to be boiling HOT already. My mind is not really in the office today, i just want to curl up in bed and fall asleep listening to the sound of the rain. I can't believe I'm saying this but it is COLD today in Chiang Mai (laugh as much as you want people, but it is true!), I'm even wearing my lovely wool cardigan that i purchased while i was in Australia a long time ago. Speaking of the rain, do you agree with me that lately the "frozen look" has become a very popular trend. It's been 3 months i got out of the hospital and start doing normal activities, going back to work and so on. I feel alive again but still, deep down i know that i am not the person i used to be. My body is still weak, i can't stay up too late partying with my friends, hurting my back when i get up in the morning and getting tired so easily even when i go out doing shopping with my sister. It's so frustrated when you can't do everything you want to and to see other people are having fun but you. Only time will heal and i will be better soon, i hope. Lately i have been thinking of doing sports to get myself back on being healthy again. The only problem is i don't know what kind of sport is right for me, with my current condition. I admit that i am not a big sport fan, let alone a sport person. I enjoy watching tennis match on a couch at home eating instant noodle, that's my kind of a sport activity. People tell me i should do yoga to exercise my back, to bring good energies back into my life again. That idea sounds appealing to me but the more i think about yoga, the more I'm against it. If you live in my country, or even better in my hometown then you know what I'm talking about. I did talk about this subject already a long time ago on my blog but i never get tired of talking about it, so here we go. Yoga community in my town is fucked up, yes i just said fucked up. In general i have nothing to complain about yoga, but the people who are doing it, that i can't stand them. The term "flowie" comes to my mind when i think about it. Flowie here means people who are into yoga and they think yoga is their lives; everything evolves around yoga. Try to close your eyes and imagine about people who claim that they are able to talk to the universe, to hug trees and to think that birds, rain, soil understand them, that kind of shit, the shit i hate to deal with. Unfortunately there are plenty of flowie in my town, and i am too afraid to deal with when i think about getting into yoga. They drive me crazy and my good energies i suppose to get from yoga will be ruined. Bottom line is, i rather leave yoga to those who are really down-to-earth and i continue searching for the right sport for me. Meanwhile there is nothing wrong with just carrying my Gucci bags full of tennis gears around the tennis court or wearing D&G speedo sunbathing by the pool with a glass of Cosmo in my hand. That's my kind of sport.

It's almost 2 am and still i am up listening to songs of Robyn while drinking and smoking alone in the house. It's the feeling that i can't really describe. It sounds a bit lonesome but i do enjoy it from time to time. Once again, i find myself sinking trying to think of what to write. Usually i try not to write much of my personally feeling on this blog since the purpose of the blog is to entertain people with eyes on fashion, music and bullshit tales. But if you are like me; finding yourself unable to sleep late at night and there is no one around, blogging seems like not a bad idea to do so. New year is here and there are things i am trying to change it around. Last year was a roller coaster for me, i had up and down moments in my life, some to remember and some to forget. But over all, i am trying to start new things in life. My first resolution for the year 2011 is to try to make my dream to happen, as you see that this blog is mostly dedicated to fashion which is always have been my passion since i was at a very young age. Apart from having one of my businesses up and running in another side of the world, i can't help to think of having one in my own fabulous town; Chiang Mai. I have been doing so here and there but never something concrete about pursuing my dream in what i want it. I keep dreaming to have my own little business to make people happy with my creations. So far i have to admit, i have been caught up in other things (aka making a real living in a real cruel world.) It's not easy to have to sacrify a part of who you are in order to survive. Often people say to me that it's not that too difficult to start something i really want, it's so true what they say BUT there are many factors involved in my life to stop me from catching my dreams. I am kind of a person who needs security in life, i have to have it. If my life is still floating from place to place then i won't be happy. I need plans and structures in life. This raises an argument to many out there. I can be impulsive too, don't get me wrong but when it comes to business and putting my money out there, i need to be precise. But this year thing needs to change on that. I have come to realize that i am getting older and i don't have time to wait. I need to get out from my comfort zone and start taking risks more, thoughtfully though. I have to be the my own boss and thinking about me more. It won't be too long until i blog about my new exciting journey. I am trying to do my best, hang in there my friends and let's cruise on this journey together.

I am designing an evening gown for my next collection and have the idea of using chiffon and organza together to create the airy look for the gown. The problem i have right now is, nobody in Thailand can tell me what a hell is organza in Thai and how i can find it correctly at the market. I just don't really understand how those Indian men selling fabrics at the market can sell thousands and thousands of meter to their customers but can not identify what kind of fabric it is when i ask them. Nobody seems to know what organza is. It's so frustrated at the moment to keep hearing someone says "organza means the lining fabric when you make a dress." or"organza means the light fabric using to decorate the dress on the outside." Hummm, what a fuck???

And this is what i get from the Thai dictionary:

Organza means

1) ผ้าซับใน ( lining)
2) ผ้าแก้ว (ผ้าบางใสอย่างแก้ว เนื้อแข็ง ใช้ทำเครื่องแต่งกาย)

I just had a chance for the first time in my life last night to try to put contact lens on. I have been wearing glasses for all my life, somehow i needed a change. It was scary at first trying to put my fingers so close to my eyes, and it felt so irritated to have contact lens in my eyes for the first moment. I was not sure i liked it much. Even this morning, i couldn't manage still to put my contact lens on. I thought that wearing contact lens would be easier, but it was not. I am still not sure i want to wear it again, well I'll try this evening again and I'll let you know.

Sorry for the lack of posting my blog, i have been dreaming a bit too much last week. Also i had high fever for about 6 days, it was horrible to be sick for so long. Many people in Chiang Mai now have dengue fever and it is still spreading fast, so take care yourself my readers.

Let's update fashion trend this week, what's hot and what's not in my town. Even though the heavy rain is still continuing to pour down in Thailand at this moment, it doesn't stop people to have fun dressing up to celebrate the rainy season. Especially many new items seem to blend well with the climate. Khaki pants make a come back this year with a little twist. I start to see many guys wearing khaki pants to match with their chic T while carrying over-sized bag strolling around on Nimmanhaemin road.

Rolled pants legs is the newest look i start to see more and more, especially to shorten your pants by three inches. To complete this look, add a pair of retro canvas sneakers and throw on a blazer in fine Cotton or silk-classic navy blue or simple black. Guarantee to be eyes catcher and suitable when the road is flooded.

Two things that i hate to see theses days whenever i go out; fedora and Ray-Ban Wayfarer. Bitches, give me a break! The time of those two items has passed and it's time to move on. Why y'all still wearing it? The fedora came out first in the 1880s, even though it made its way back on fashion catwalk last season it did not mean to last long. I see these fools wearing out and about in Chiang Mai, day and night, on a sunny day or a rainy night. Also many pop stars making the appearance on TV with the fedora, like they can't live without it. Why do you still wear the fedora when you are indoor? Same as Ray-Ban Wayfarer, it was a huge trend for last year, it was the "it" item. My dear readers, that time was gone as well. No more Ray-Ban Wayfarer on the street, at the club, eating noodle at the noodle stall at 4 am or even going to a temple on Sunday morning. I am so over it!

Yesterday a friend of mine showed me his tailor made Tuxedo he had made in Chiang Mai. He made a jacket, shirt and also pants. It was the classic style he asked for, with black material which looked very sexy and elegant. BUT, there was something off about the shirt which i did not like it so much. Thought i use this opportunity to talk about how to make and wear a tuxedo shirt, in case you need one in your wardrobe (which you MUST have one). Most people (for dress makers, sewers and shop owners out there) think making a tuxedo shirt is easy as making a plain white shirt. I am telling you that it's not easy and it takes a bit of knowledge to know how to accessorise it too. Please please please, remember this! a tuxedo shirt is NOT just a white shirt with white (or clear) plastic buttons. You need to have silver studs for the button. Whether you can buy these tuxedo studs from a shop or even better, have it custom made. Tuxedo is a formal wear that should be worn for special occasions; very important one like to a wedding or a gala dinner. Because it is a special event, the outfit needs to be very special to match the event too. Those small details of accessories are essential for Tuxedo, silver studs separate your tuxedo apart from others. My friend's shirt, the one he had it made was just a normal white shirt with plastic buttons, which i think it was not so nice and so wrong. Now learn this, the next time you want to have a tuxedo made, you know how the shirt should be. It is one thing for dress makers out there to make something beautiful, but to make it right you need the knowledge of what it really is too.

I am a huge fan of True Blood; American television drama series. I find those vampires to be very sexy, especially when there are so many nude scenes of hunk actors. My jaw dropped when i first saw Alexander Skarsgard (AKA Eric.) He is the hottest vampire bad boy with the true heart. I don't think he is handsome, but there is something about him (apart from his way-too-hot body) i adore. Perhaps i am just into a bad guy. Season 3 of True Blood just came out and so far it's been so good. Damm you Kate Bosworth, i am sure you like it when Alexander sucks the juice out of you! ENVIOUS!

I heard Yamagata first when i was a DJ at a local station here in Chiang Mai (T.I.T.S radio, yeah you heard me right.) You know when you buy a CD like "Love Song of 2008", or "Love and Romance compilation" or shits like that and somehow you discover one great song out of the bunch. That's how i know this chick! I did not know who she was at all until i started to look more into her work, i just loved her music, her point of view in life and the haunted sound of the piano. I knew i had to follow her work. What a day in the office! I found a snake inside my office...yes, you heard me right! It came inside the office out of no where, and yes i ran out immediately. After spending some time with my friends trying to get rid of the snake, finally we managed to put this giant anaconda inside the box and drove out in the middle of no where and just threw the box away.
